What is the IAmsterdam card?
The IAmsterdam card is a travel pass and attraction pass which gives the card holder certain benefits.
The cards can be either bought online, or in person at one of the travel kiosks around Amsterdam and the airport. There’s really no difference in price or convenience if you buy it online or in person as you still have to take your online voucher to the tourism kiosk to pick up the card.(Yes it’s the same place as you would pay for a Iamsterdam pass in person)
How much is it?

- I amsterdam Card for 48 hours – €48
- I amsterdam Card for 72 hours – €58

What do i get with it?
Once you’ve purchased the IAmsterdam card, you’ll have instant access to ride as much public transport as you’d like with the transport ticket.
You’ll also get a chip card which gives you access to the museums that are on the list of places which accept that IAmsterdam card. The card also entitles you to free access to many attractions,discounts at restaurants,a free canal ride and plenty of other stuff.
You’ll receive a free IAmsterdam guide book to help you pick out the places that are part of the Iamsterdam scheme.
At first glance the IAmsterdam card seems worth it. The amount of things that come bundled with the card are absolutely amazing. If however your only in town for a couple of days and don’t have museums on your list, or you know where you want to be. The IAmsterdam card probably won’t suit you too well.
Round up.
There’s no discounted option for children or more mature visitors to Amsterdam. So it’s not always money saving to pick one up. If however you look around the official site and see if a few of the attractions seem appealing to you. Plan your day out well so you can make the most of the free entries and free transport.
