AmstelPark
The Amstelpark in Amsterdam caters for just about everyone. The park can be found to the south of the city and is closer to Amstel than Amsterdam itself. Amstelpark is surrounded along 2 of it’s sides by the Amstel river, which gives this park a much more relaxed setting to enjoy.
Guests of the Okura Hotel can find Amstelpark just 20 minutes walking distance away. Guests at the Novotel are just across the road from the park.
The park itself houses plenty of things to do for younger children including, Pony rides,Minigolf,Mini Football, climbing frames and even a hedge maze. Perfect for when you want to know the kids are safe and would like a few moments to yourself. Don’t worry though, the hedge maze isn’t too difficult and it won’t be long befoe the kids come running out wanting to do even more insane kiddy things.
Amstelpark itself is rather large in size and along with housing the above childrens activity areas, also houses a cafe, restaurant and several other features that are best enjoyed by spending at least an hour in the park.
If your not content with visiting Amstelpark, then why not take a quick trip to the nearby Beatrixpark or the Martin Luther King Park. Both of which are close by and accessible by either foot or trams/buses.
Tram info:
Tram 4 & 50 stop at the nearby RAI Station leaving you just 5 minutes walk away from the park.
