Theres nothing worse than being halfway through your holiday when you suddenly realise you’ve been pickpocketed and all your possessions are gone. Thanks to Tripadvisors list of coutries that your most likely to get we can at least be prepared when we’re away.
Although this is only a list of the top 10, always be aware of your belongings when anywhere on holiday. There’s no set time or place that thieves strike so always be on the lookout. If the worst does happen, Make sure you contact the local police.

So Queens Day is quickly approaching and many of the party goers already have hotels booked, apartments sorted and airline tickets in their hands. Are you one of them? Are you going to be suffering with Orange fever?
For anybody who wonders what Queens day is, well here’s a brief intro into one of the craziest days your ever likely to see, even by Amsterdam standards.
Queens Day is traditionally held on the 30th of each month, unless then 30th falls on a Sunday in which case the festivities will be held on the 29th. [Read more →]

When heading away on holiday it’s always a tough decision to make on how much money to take with you. If your heading out to Amsterdam then the same thought will no doubt be running your mind, and it should be too as it’s almost as expensive to visit as London.
I’ve managed to speak to alot of different people while away in Amsterdam, so that’s always given me a good idea as to how much money everyone seems to take with them. The majority of people rely on around €100+ a day, which only covers them for food,drinks and any tourist visits they make. For many of them, it’s also their coffeeshop budget. [Read more →]

Police Station
Spuistraat was our home for our January holiday in Amsterdam, here’s a few notes we made about the area.
Spuistraat runs between Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and the Singel canal. Starting up near central station and ending down almost as far the Koningsplein, Spuistraat is home to many wonderful and different forms of entertainment. [Read more →]
