The Sex museum is an interesting place if you want to know just about anything to do with the history of sex. This is one of the closest buildings to Central Station. So if your arriving into Amsterdam via either a bus or train link from the Airport or somewhere else. Your bound to see it.
Decorated and dripping with everything related to sex, The Sex Museum has collected photos from decades ago to show you and other members of the public how pornography started out. There’s several small rooms with noises coming from hidden speakers to help set the mood the museum is trying to create.
Some of the rooms walls are covered from floor to ceiling in pornographic photos. A friend of mine described it as:
“Walking around someone’s personal porn collection”.
Not so sure that’s the best description to give of the Sex museum,but it is an entertaining description to say the least.
For just €3 and if your in the area. It might be worth just a quick look to see what all the fuss is about. Upon entry you’ll be greeted by a statue of Venus, it is after all her temple
