Markets

There are plenty of markets in Amsterdam, most of which are within walking distance of central Amsterdam. Market trading in the city dates back at least a couple of hundred years. So turn back time and try your hand at a little bit of haggling like in the old days.

Most of the markets dotted around Amsterdam are open throughout the year and Dutch delicacies such as raw herring are on offer at most of them. As each market has it’s own opening times, we’ll provide a list of times below so you can visit different markets on different days and make the most of market shopping.
