The 1 star Regal hotel, is a small hotel within just a couple of minutes walk between the hotel and Central Station. Located next to Herenmarkt at the end of the Herengracht canal. The Regal hotel in Amsterdam has just 11 rooms.
The rooms have shared bathroom facilities with the other rooms. Although you do get your own sink for washing in private still. There doesn’t appear to be any TV’s in the rooms, but there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas.
Haarlemmerstraat is just a minute away with shops and places to grab food from. So eating isn’t a problem, although it may get expensive picking up snacks from the touristy areas. Places like the Damrak,Dam Square and the RLD are close by with just a 10 – 15 minute walk keeping you away from these popular tourist areas.
