The 3 star Bastion hotel doesn’t hold one of the more popular central locations that most the other hotels in Amsterdam have. The benefit of the Bastion is the car parking they have that includes surveillance. But if your wanting to be in the centre of Amsterdam, driving isn’t advisable as it’s difficult to park and drive around the narrow streets.

Trams are available to and from Amsterdam’s Central Station at regular intervals so getting around isn’t a problem, just there’ll be very little attractions on the hotels doorstep. Hotel staff will be happy to help you find how to get to where you want to be.

The Bastion hotel has 80 rooms available for guests to enjoy their holiday break in, so if you’ve got one of the first rooms on your floor, expect a few people to be walking past every now and again.

The rooms of the Bastion hotel are spacious and fitted with most of the usual facilities that you’d find in a 3 star hotel.

Some of the attractions and things to see near by are the World fashion centre and Amsterdam’s harbour. Things like Dam Square,The Albert Cuypmarkt,Museums and the RLD will all require some form of transport to get to, Whether that be a tram a taxi or even a car rental. Trams make getting around a whole load easier and within 10 minutes on one of the Amsterdam trams, you can be in the city centre.

Trams 1 and 17 stop at Derkinderenstraat (Cornelis Lelylaan) which is shorter than a 5 minute walk away from the hotel.
