Canal Boat Tours:

The Red Light District:

Unlike any other area of the city, the red light district lines canals and alleyways with red lit windows. In these windows can be seen girls offering themselves to passersby for a fee. Prostitution is legal in Amsterdam and has been for a long time. Giving the window girls security.

Dam Square

Vondelpark

As the oldest zoo in and around Amsterdam. The Artis Zoo houses many different types of animals as well as plants at the botanical gardens. Located close to Central Station and easy to access.

Windmills

One of the first things many people think about when you mention Amsterdam, is the sight of windmills everywhere. Windmills are an interesting sight for many of the visitors that the Netherlands receive. Try and find the 8 windmills that are located in the centre of the city.

Popular Squares

Amsterdam has many popular squares, One of the most popular is probably Dam Square which is in the heart of the city. Other squares of interest include the Museumplein,Leidseplein,Waterlooplein and Rembrandtplein. The museumplein is obvious enough as it houses, well museums. The Rembrandtplein and Leidseplein are both entertainment areas with many choices of entertainment to choose from.

Oude Kerk

The Oude Kerk or Old church can be found in the red light district. This old church is still standing and has been restored over the years. It’s worth checking out the detailed work thats been put into this gothic style building.
