Wonder what the weather is like in Amsterdam? Fancy knowing what kind of clothes to pack when you go on holiday?
Well, Amsterdam weather isn’t so much different from the weather here in the UK. The summers aren’t as hot as countries such as Spain,America or Australia. Although it is warmer than Sweden,Iceland and Russia.
Summers are quite nice with gentle breezes in the open areas of the city. But when it comes to the narrow streets, the breeze finds it hard to reach them and suddenly it seems alot warmer. Best to try and pack something light and give your body a chance to breathe. But make sure you take a backup jacket in your suitcase in case it rains!
Winters are cold. We’ve visited in both January and November and to be honest the Amsterdam weather was the pretty much both times. Amsterdam weather at these times of year is full of cold winds with quite alot of rain. It makes eating hot pizza on the street more enjoyable. As well as rushing to find cover in either a museum or a coffeeshop.
Overall, Amsterdam weather is nice in the summer, but wet in the winter. Expect downpours of rain, freak showers and days of rain with the Amsterdam weather.
