Our Amsterdam Holidays

The value of the Euro, up until quite recently had been dropping, which didn’t give us any benefits for the holiday savings fund.  Luckily we only bought 180 euros when we went and got our travel insurance.

Since we bought our first set of Euros, the price has gotten better and changed from €500 for £420. To the more recent price of £406 for €500.  The prices exactly aren’t excellant compared to a few years ago when we went. But hey it’s better than 1:1.

Although we bought some of our Euros a few weeks ago, we plan on buying more.  (Which is why i’m watching the rates locally.)

I’m doubting that they’ll get anywhere near where they were a few years ago. But if it keeps getting better, i’ll be a much happier bunny.  Another good thing about Euros at two different times, is that if (And this is a big if) we have any money left over when we return to the UK. We can select the best rate for our money back. Rather than having just one option for the commision free exchange. We have two!
